David Zayas comes from Barrio El Tuque in Ponce. He studied painting at the School of Plastic Arts and Design of Puerto Rico. His solo exhibitions include “Animalia” at the Caguas Art Museum, Muralis: Contemporary Muralism exhibition at the Museum of the Americas, Old San Juan. In 2012 he created the project “Un Zayas por Día” which were entered into collections in Spain, Brazil, Mexico, Paraguay and the US. This same year he offered the first short course on Street Art: urban art techniques at the Metropolitan University of Puerto Rico. Zayas recently received the key to the city of Lynn, Massachusetts for his outstanding work as a muralist and he is currently developing and participating in different projects.
